In 1999, Mr. Li Tie Ying, Member of Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, proposed that the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Propaganda Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee in collaboration with Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences take the lead in holding "21st Century China Forum on Corporate Culture" in Guangdong. In June 2000, Comrade Li Tie Ying hosted and held this forum in person. He advocated again that on such basis Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Propaganda Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences cooperate with relative national departments, major media from home and abroad and well-known enterprises to hold "China International Forum on Corporate Culture" in December 2004, in Guangzhou China, which will run periodically in the future.
